Professional Summary Description: "Prof. Dr. (Mrs). F.H. Abdul Rauf is a Professor in Management at the Department of Management of South Eastern University of Sri Lanka. She studied in University of Jaffa (Sri Lanka), University of Sri Jayawardenepura (Sri Lanka), and University of Peradeniya
(Sri Lanka). She was elected by the faculty board as the Dean of the Faculty of Management and Commerce for a period of three years. Then she started serving as Dean of the Faculty. Within a short period she started several educational units and courses, published the first Faculty Handbook, organized academic seminars and workshops to meet the needs of educational environment of the faculty relevant to the modern higher educational system locally and internationally. Published the first Journal of Management in the same year. After completion of three years she was once again elected by the Faculty board as the Dean of the faculty. In this way she achieved full cooperation of the lecturers and the supportive staff to take the faculty into the world of reputation and highest achievement.
In 2008, she had an opportunity to serve at an international university called Kingdom University in Bahrain. As part of her academic career, she had been awarded the Commonwealth Professional Fellowship by the Association of Commonwealth Universities, UK.
She served as the Head of the Department of Management, Director of the Research and Innovation Centre, Director of the Centre for External Degrees and Professional Learning of the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka.
