Nominee Application Form: Part C
Please write a professional profile of 500 words.
Professional Summary Description: After graduating from Mari State Pedagogical Institute in 2004 with the qualification of a teacher in English/French languages I immediately applied for the teacher position to Volga State University of Technology. 4 years later I was offered a position of an interpreter at the same university in the International Relations Office, where I was promoted and became an International Education Administrator
For nearly two years I worked on assisting international students on such issues as: elaborating training/study plans; working out specific criteria for certificates to be recognized both in sending and hosting institutions; linguistic, cultural, practical support; adequate logistical and practical assistance with travel arrangements, insurance, residence, social security, accommodation etc.; ensuring the proper integration of the participant into the host environment.
In 2009 I initiated the membership of the department of Management and Law to become a full member at the NISPAcee (Network of Institute and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe, Slovakia), which gave them the permission to apply for the EAPAA (European Association of Public Administration Accreditation, the Netherlands). Since then while working at the university I was actively involved in internal QA procedures. I was responsible for quality at International Relations Office and for preparing/writing/submitting the Self-Evaluation report on Master’s programme “Public Administration and Local Self-Governance”. In 2012 I published two books (in Russian) 1. Part 1. The procedure of accreditation: how to prepare for international accreditation of educational programmes of HE in the field of Public Administration against European Standards and Guidelines and EAPAA (European Association of Public Administration Accreditation) criteria. Yoshkar-Ola: LLC Publishing House Vertical” 2013; 2. Part 2. Self-evaluation report: how to prepare and write a Self-evaluation report for the purpose of international accreditation of educational programmes of HE in the field of Public Administration against European Standards and Guidelines and EAPAA (European Association of Public Administration Accreditation) criteria. Yoshkar-Ola: LLC Publishing House Vertical” 2013. So later the National Centre for Public Accreditation invited me to work at the International Relations Office.
Today I am coordinating the local group (Russian partners) within the TEMPUS project ALIGN http://align.brusov.am . I am mostly familiar with differences in functions and procedures between various accreditation systems in Europe and Russia. I am also aware of the specific procedures internationally/nationally used for aligning programme learning outcomes with a qualifications framework. I am writing the deliverable for the projects which is the Guideline for approval, monitoring and reviewing of study programmes, adopted within EHEA.
As a deputy head I am responsible for a number of different activities: disseminating information in the Russian academic community, especially about the European Standards and Guidelines; conducting seminars/briefings for experts, who participate in external evaluation procedures coordinated by NCPA (4-6 times a year) on the issues connected with the Bologna process and the European transparency and quality tools; inviting/recruiting international quality assurance specialists for external NCPA procedures; implementing ESG-ENQA in the procedures of public accreditation; participating in projects, surveys, news letters of ENQA и CEENQA.
