Professional Summary Description: I work for the Israeli Council for Higher Education over 13 years. At the beginning (1996-2004) I was In Charge of Accreditation of the Academic Colleges. In this position I was responsible for all aspects of accreditation in academic colleges, including activation and coordination of academic accreditation committees, liaison between the colleges and the Council for Higher Education, and participation in the process of policy formulation and oversight.
Since 2004 I am the head of the quality assessment unit (the Quality Assessment Unit was established in order to carry out the Council for Higher Education decision to establish a Quality Assurance system in the Higher Education sector in Israel). This role includes: preparation of a five year plan of the quality assurance activity, including policy, budgetary and human resources aspects (including qualifying the Quality Assessment Unit staff); assistance and guidance of the higher education institutions with the self evaluation process; activation of the international quality assessment/evaluation committees (about 6 committees a year); preparing the evaluation reports for presentation to Council for Higher Education various forums; responsible for international relations with non-Israeli Quality Assurance organizations.
I coordinated the advisory committee and wrote with them the Guidelines for Self-Evaluation, the Evaluators Reminder/manual and most of the regulations of the Quality Assessment Unit.
I also coordinate the Council for Higher Education Sub-Committee for Quality Assurance (chaired by the Deputy Chair of the Council for Higher Education), which is the Board of the Quality Assessment Unit.
